This project reconstructs different units to needs expressed for the renovation of the corner of Via Santo Stefano and Via Rialto. The roof, strongly deteriorated, was replaced, redeploying a beam originally Cantonal old to the new position of the ridge beam. The new thickness of the floor covering, ventilated and insulated with wood fiber now, it has been hidden inside the ancient cornice. Outside the restoration was conducted on the facades, finished with plaster of lime, and dark. The porch has a new terrazzo floor consistent with the equipment of the columns and vaults. The number 3 has been released by some accretions and equipped with a new lift to the apartments with access from number 1. The new earthquake-proof metal structure is suspended above the vaults of the cellar below. The design of the new windows with transom is designed to increase the natural lighting of the ground floor.

Questo progetto ricompone ad unità diverse esigenze manifestate per la ristrutturazione dell’edificio d’angolo fra via Santo Stefano e via Rialto. Il tetto, fortemente ammalorato, è stato sostituito, reimpiegando una trave antica originariamente cantonale nella nuova posizione di trave di colmo. Il nuovo spessore del solaio di copertura, ventilato ed ora isolato con fibra di legno, è stato celato all’interno del cornicione antico. All’esterno il restauro è stato condotto sulle facciate, finite con intonachino di calce, e gli scuri. Il portico ha un nuovo pavimento alla veneziana coerente con l’apparecchiatura delle colonne e delle volte. Il civico 3 è stato liberato da alcune superfetazioni e dotato di un nuovo ascensore che serve gli appartamenti che hanno accesso dal civico 1. La nuova struttura metallica antisismica è sospesa sopra alle volte a crociera della cantina sottostante. Il disegno delle nuove finestre con sopraluce è stato realizzato per aumentare l’illuminamento naturale del piano terra.
