VIA DOLFI – OFFICIES

L’ex Oratorio della S.S. Trinità, una delle chiese delle mura delle città di Bologna, realizzata nel 1590 su disegno dell’arch. Giovanni Battista Ballarini, ha avuto molteplici vicissitudini nel corso della sua storia. Sconsacrato è stato prima ospedale, poi segheria ed infine palestra e locale notturno. Alla fine degli anni 90 del secolo scorso verteva in un completo stato di degrado e abbandono.

Lo Studio Lenzi & Associati ha seguito in questi anni il complesso processo di restauro che ne ha consentito in primo luogo la messa in sicurezza statica. Successivamente, tramite l’applicazione delle tecniche del restauro scientifico è stato possibile il recupero delle superfici pittoriche.

Il progetto di rifunzionalizzazione come sede di direzionale è stato condotto a quattro mani con la società Open Project che ha scelto questo luogo unico e pieno di fascino come propria sede.

Questo progetto ha previsto il restauro del complesso dell’ex Ospedale dei Convalescenti e Oratorio della SS. Trinità. Per i suoi caratteri di monumentalità il complesso è soggetto a Tutela di legge. Il progetto ha individuato un nuovo uso terziario per il complesso restaurato.

Per questo sono state previste alcune interconnessioni per ottimizzare la funzionalità e la fruibilità dei singoli episodi spaziali. Si è evitato l’eccessivo frazionamento degli spazi pervenutici, nella previsione di realizzare uffici e studi professionali.

Il restauro delle facciate e del coperto e la campagna di sondaggi stratigrafici sono stati condotti nell’ipotesi di una migliore e più veloce realizzazione nel momento che saranno definiti gli utilizzatori finali. Il restauro dei gruppi pittorici ha svelato più strati e, in taluni casi, pannelli sovrapposti e alla necessità, propria del restauro, di fare sacrifici, selezionare, ripresentare, compiere scelte nell’idea della migliore conservazione possibile.

The former Oratory of the S.S. Trinità, one of the churches of the city walls of Bologna, built in 1590 and designed by the architect Giovanni Battista Ballarini, has had many vicissitudes throughout its history. Deconsecrated, it was first a hospital, then a sawmill and finally a gym and nightclub. At the end of the 90s of the last century, it was in a complete state of decay and abandonment.

Studio Lenzi & Associati has followed the complex restoration process in recent years, which first of all allowed it to be made static safe. Subsequently, through the application of scientific restoration techniques, it was possible to recover the painted surfaces. The re-functionalization project as a management headquarters was conducted in collaboration with the Open Project company, which chose this unique and fascinating place as its headquarters.

This project involves the restoration of the former Convalescent Hospital and Oratory of SS. Trinity. For his monumental character of the complex is subject to protection of the law. The goal of the project is to identify a new use that uses the tertiary complex restored. To this have been provided for some interconnections to optimize the functionality and usability of the individual spatial episodes. We wanted to avoid, in essence, the excessive
fragmentation of the spaces have survived, with the expectation to achieve offices and professional.

The construction has not been completed pending the establishment of end users. The restoration of the facades and covered the campaign and stratigraphic surveys were conducted assuming a better and faster realization in the moment that will be defined end users. The restoration of pictorial groups revealed more layers and, in some cases, overlapping panels and necessity, its restoration, to make sacrifices, select, resubmit, make
choices in the idea of the best possible preservation.
